13) Situation 5 February 2001
Cor told me today that: Shifra last week Sunday in the LUMC had a blood transfusion because her drum angry in her blood were very low. The next day, she liked to go home, but her defense was bad Shifra a bacterial infection there. Therefore she had to stay in Leiden and now she lies in a sterile inhobbox as they call it in Leiden. It goes better with her and hopefully the bacterial infection below the knee.
Positive is that Shifra her kidneys despite the leukemia has taken root in it properly. Shifra can urinate normally, without pain, etc. and research has shown that the kidneys until now not been damaged.
The other positive is that the tissue / cells, bone marrow biopsy obtained via a well arrived in Houston. Shifra is exciting now or for the sixth time in remission will come about two months so the processed tissue / cells can be implanted again with Shifra. in the hope of one's own defense against the leukemia so encouraging that they continue in remission, so permanent cure. We will keep a weekly basis.
Soundwave machine
Shifra used for about two weeks a device that Marina and Cor have come over from America. This device is called sound wave machine. This device does Shifra several times a day to her belly and with the institution, based on the analysis of a drop of blood that is sent regularly to America, a certain magnetic field created around her belly. Shifra has therefore certainly much less pain or something and contribute to reducing the cancer might be more clear.
