dated June 2, 2003: Marian, mother of Frank sent me the following e-mail today and I recommend everyone look at the links below. I follow with great admiration in any case, the process for years now that Frank with great support from his parents through. Really nice.

How are you? Probably very busy with such a comprehensive site and work it.
I was just here again to read on your site and escape to see what new things you'd stand out.
I also noticed that the link to my Alternative Medical Workbook does not work.

Perhaps you have already read a lot about Frank www.paradijsvogel.nl
But how Frank himself has articulated and represented all over the ten years which he underwent three brain surgeries, and eventually was irradiated thirty times eight months long could no longer walk and could hardly talk.
Now I write it in April 2003 and more than two years after Frank's third brain surgery.
Frank now has two good years back in which he is able to walk and talk in a calm pace of life.
All those years before, he had many heavy daily seizures, which he suddenly fell backwards as a board with all its consequences. This is also largely resolved because the surgeon has a drain in his head made.
Frank's motor has always been very bad, but he could always write a note to someone and he always has his own poems written by hand. Now, after third brain operation, this function is lost. Frank will no longer write on paper and only a repetition of letters in a row.
When Frank was ten years old and included in the anthroposophic children's clinic in Bilthoven, he started painting and I found his bedside table when the first stories and poems he wrote. He was ten years and during that time, his brain tumor (at the time when an oligo-astrocytoma grade 3, the size of a tennis ball in his head) was found. Four years later, it was primarily an astrocytoma grade 4. The surgeon then told Frank that his life would probably not last very long.
Frank on April 12, 1981 in Eindhoven, was born at 6.18 pm. Frank is now 22 years now.
It is now 12 years after his first surgery and Frank has grown up. On the following pages you can now read Frank's own work and see him for ten years has made.

Maybe you like (even if you have time) to see it. There are already en Frank artworks (paintings and poems) that he spent ten years of his illness and made it since he was ten years.
You can use the images and thus its history nearly "read" in the images.
Frank (now already more than two years after his third brain surgery) is doing well. (Always touch wood) but I'm happy with this past year and we finally decided to have third operation to do. His life over the past two years even better than ever. After all, he was also a drain in his head and his seizures were so severe that this is a lot less. Let's hope the cancer will continue to keep quiet, as he does in a while.
