And with success because from the moment he started in Cologne were the way recurrence. Eric is now starting in October 2006 relapse-free and it works again fully and live a qualitatively good life. In 2002, Eric gets told he has a melanoma with metastases. After the first operation following the recurrence in quick succession. Still, Eric gets to support his wife and children control the cancer with dendritic cell therapy and hyperthermia plus a healthy lifestyle and Houtsmuller Diet. From autumn 2006, Eric had no further recurrence.
Lineke says:
And now Eric has been three years without metastases. So since he's here, no longer metastasis occurred. And for every three months, there was actually talk of a subcutaneous metastasis ..
Comment Text 2:
After the first operation in 2002, Eric in four years time, 13 surgeries to remove tumors in various parts of his body. But without a cure for the recurrent results keep coming back.
Eric says:
It was just before New Year's Eve. When I was in the shower and then I saw something in my chest under my skin blackish. I pushed a little and thought what is that again, it was a bit spongy. Then I went to my doctor, that's a good friend of mine who has just before New Year's cut and sent. When we were told by my doctor that it was a melanoma with metastasis and spread it here. But it went completely past me. I understood nothing at all. It seems like you're a little insurance. Well, we are immediately to the van Leeuwenhoek hospital. This made them again the monster that they have removed from my body again examined. Well, and who could verify it was indeed a melanoma
Once we arrived home, especially the next day I just started my bike to work so then it started really. What's wrong with me wrong. Then you immediately think the worst, I still have next year. How do we do it when we get together on the couch, then she just sits on the bench. But actually, at first a little past you. Then you do not understand the seriousness of the situation. Every three months you had a metastasis. First on my chest, then to my armpit, all my lymph nodes are removed and it actually went through my whole body. It's been a very round and on the right side of my chest was the last and that was the time we went.
Comment Text 3:
Eric and his wife are looking for ways and treatments to prevent a recurrence, because from the Anthony van Leeuwenhoek hospital, they are not informed about it. They must rely on their own initiative.
Eric says:
What we find is that in the little van Leeuwenhoek tells about what you could do to prevent the metastasis reappear. You need to live healthy, you need your rest forward. That your immune system strong to make. I followed a diet, Houtsmuller Diet. I also contacted Dr. Valstar in The Hague. An orthomolecular doctor and that lifts me a pill regimen prescribed for my immune system as strong as possible. And together we believe that the combination of therapies that I actually healthy.
Comment Text 4:
Engelbert Valstar physician-biologist in the Netherlands an authority on nutrition and dietary supplementation in cancer. For melanoma, certain nutritional supplements and a healthy lifestyle a value Valstar said.
Valstar says:
When a melanoma is paramount, especially when someone has just been operated on, coumarin, coumarin, which is a substance that occurs in the honey and clover, which is a bit like warfarin, an anticoagulant agent, but is absolutely not. And it shows significantly improve the prognosis. It can also give regressions of melanoma. It is amazing that such a substance is not applied.
Another substance that gives a great effect on melanoma but also in other cancer types is applied is melatonin. Melatonin is a naturally occurring substance is produced when it gets dark and you go to sleep. But is a substance that clearly has an antitumor effect. Yes there are many substances that are used in many different tumors. Some substances are indeed one or a few relevant tumors.
Comment Text 5:
Although at the time of Eric's disease in the Netherlands is a study of dendritic cell therapy in melanoma oncologists about the Dutch say no to Eric. Valstar while also believes that a dendritic cell therapy effective treatment for melanoma.
Valstar says:
Dendritic cells are interesting but which in any case it is known that patients with dendritic cell hyperthermia do it better than patients who only dendritic cells do. And in the mainstream sector, I have the impression that the treatment and research into the effect of dendritic cells in cancer in general has decreased quite. While the gravity to the dendritic cell is more respect abroad. For eg Robert Gorter. And that's unfortunate because dendritic cells really make sense.
Comment Text 6:
As Eric and his wife in September 2006, attend a lecture by Dr. Gorter did they get over excited and start immediately after the consultation with the treatments in Cologne.
Eric says:
Yes it was once that's it. I'm going to. Then I went to Cologne. My wife and daughter were gone. And I've given blood once and one week later, the first treatment.
Comment Text 7:
Eric the whole-body experience as tough but bearable.
Eric says:
Well it is pretty hot I must tell you frankly, and usually I ask them some anesthetic spray that I can fall asleep. But once the peak is reached 39C degrees and sometimes the lights go out you're just in a paradise. Then you usually fall asleep. Then it's just enjoy, enjoy. But the heat that is briefly heavy at times.

The dendritic cells, causing fever and discomfort but Eric knows that this is only a few days.
Eric says:
The heflt goes into my arm, directly into the blood circuit. And the other half is injected under the skin. That is to as quickly as possible to all parts of my body to get. You feel nothing at first, but once we walked to the station and then I collapsed halfway through the drive completely. Now we take a taxi to the station and that's just fine.
Comment Text 9:
Eric now been cancer-free year is up to the dendritic cells are still for fever and flu-like symptoms but less severe than before.
Eric says:
Monday I had it. When we took the taxi to the train went. Then I started a bit too sweaty to be a little chilly. Then I turned a movie on my laptop on the train. At Amsterdam station, we had to move and then I got cold, a fever coconut. Then I went straight to bed. I already put ready in this room. And actually until last night I had a fever. So sweaty that you were wet with sweat. Headache. And this morning I slept about an hour. I was awake at 6 hours. And when my wife left for work, I went a little more sleep and then it was over. Now I am still a little now and then that I feel hot. But I feel really good now. The headache is over and the fever is gone.
Comment Text 10:
Since Eric started the treatments in Cologne, October 2006, he no longer had a relapse.
Eric says:
Right now I am a once a year to Cologne, as a sort of maintenance. I go every six months to van Leeuwenhoek hospital to check whether it has spread or not. I follow the Houtsmuller Diet. But I do not know now what. What makes me get more metastases. Is it my mind because I am very strong mentally normal. Is it our cooperation, what we do as a couple. Are the cells? Or is it Dr. Valstar? We truly believe that a combination of everything. Of these dendritic cells. I feel especially if the cells are injected back to me what a reaction that triggers me. How I get fever. Together with our cooperation and the pills that we both really go for it. We think that makes me just go live.
Comment Text 11:
Eric has always remained under control in the Netherlands. His oncologist was surprised that he has so long tumor-free, for a stage 4 melanoma is very rare.
Eric says:
I no longer have spread my surgeon says it every time it is a miracle. Actually it can not and he really surprised about. But otherwise we just kept it. We use what we think is right. We do not hang out the missionary. We will only control and we are going to go .. And we enjoy and he may be surprised.
Comment Text 12:
About the cause of why Eric was diagnosed with cancer, he is clear.
Eric says:
I am a huge workacoholic, a tremendous athlete been in the past. And I think I also have worked with my body and my immune system to exhaust to subvert. But you do not know for sure. I've got to learn. I just need to be careful when the weather is good that I did not step back into my old fault. You will need to ensure that you are well rested. And you yourself are as strong as possible in order to stop the stupid cells to destroy.
Comment Text 13:
Eric feels his cancer under control but he also knows well that he should be careful not to back into his old lifestyle back to fall.
Eric says:
I feel that I have everything under control. Just that happens very often it is better and you stop everything. I guess you'll need to watch. You really have everything the chance to completely settle. And then after a few years than you can say it now I can stop minderen.of. And then you must be careful that you do not fall back into the old mistake of put yourself out of it like it really might be started.
What I did for myself, I go to bed earlier. I try during the week to 11 hours to go to bed. While I used to 2, 3 hours and went to bed again at 6 o'clock. Well that's really what I'm trying to maintain. Well then my work, I must say sometimes I'm not going to a meeting in the evening. I've had a long time that night I not met. Well in my work can not. Should you have occasional evening meetings but I limit it. And when I feel it is not good then I just do not. I stay home. I go home a little work. But this is actually rare. But it is very tempting every time again to enjoy by working, good things to do, to exercise. That remains a big risk. But my wife is on top.
