Experience Story lymphoma - Non-Hodgkin: Dutch wife Joan Holstein refuses chemo for her non-Hodgkin and heals anyway mistletoe injections and healthy lifestyles. Article updated June 7, 2011

June 7, 2011: With the news that a new drug (Brentuximab - vedotin) would have been against non-Hodgkins but we also once again draw attention to the story of Joan of Holsteijn that mi no further explanation needed.

A Dutch cancer patient, Joan of Holste who lives and works in England, last week told the Daily Mail how mistletoe injections saved her life after she refused chemotherapy for her lymphoma - non-Hodgkin . A more half years ago, Joan confronted with a bump as big as an egg on her leg. She went to the hospital and it was a malignant tumor. Joan was found to have lymphoma, non-Hodgkin's, a very difficult variant of lymphoma. Joan tells the Daily \ Mail that she was really scared of the chemo. And not really believe in the healing effect of chemotherapy. It affects your immune system with chemotherapy and perhaps temporarily suppress cancer but mostly it went back again she says. Joan had on the Internet and through acquaintances and friends also read and heard about the mistletoe injections and with a healthy lifestyle she chose to deal with mistletoe injections. Joan because it believed in the healing properties of mistletoe. Within six months the tumor disappeared on her leg and now, in December 2009, 18 months after diagnosis, she continued clinical cancer and Joan seems to have been cured of their lymphoma - non-Hodgkin. Successive scans show no cancer see and her blood counts are completely normal. Joan feels great and wants her happiness or with the whole world.

Yet Joan and she wants to be careful for a while yet remain under control and continue for a while with the mistletoe injections. Because cancer always comes back. But everything indicates that injections Joan Holstein the mistletoe at least for her proper treatment has been found. A great result of course.

Joan got her mistletoe injections just in the Park Attwood Clinic in Birmingham. Her oncologist has always supported her in her choices, although he only suggested chemo and she refused but he respected her decision and continued to keep her just as a patient. Now he's just so glad she's doing so well. .
