Footsteps in the sand
Experiential lessons of a father during the illness of his child

Bert van Ravenswaaij

Life goes on you for the wind. University study completed, House, wife, kids, great job. And suddenly the world stands on its head. Your child has leukemia. Cancer. Life is never what it's been. An emotional rollercoaster.

Everybody goes there differently. Bert van Ravenswaaij has cursed, cried, worked very hard, closed, and especially ... extremely fought. For his child and his family. It is the struggle of a father against child cancer, doctors, authorities, insurance companies, and prejudices. But also a fight with themselves.

"You're stronger than you think, but nobody is as strong as ten Elephants ' is one of the experiential lessons that Bert wants to pass it on. He enjoys weather of life. Of it now. His watch he has dismissed, because he is more important than the future tense. He is grateful for all the people who have supported him and his family so in that difficult period. He is also grateful for his faith.

Footsteps in the sand initially Bert wrote for himself. In addition he wants with his book all parents who are in a similar situation a heart. And imparting that there is always hope is and room for miracles. He has experienced this myself several times.
