KWF, Dr. Carl Figdor KWO the price of 2 million given for further research into dendritic therapy. Dr. Figdor states in an article on the website of the UMC Radboud he has been much success with his research on dendritic cell therapy. But if we PubMed search for publications of his hand, we are not against a study with patients who, through his approach with dendritic cells would be healed. Figdor claims 30 to 40% respond well to approach with dendritic cells and also says a patient should have been 9 years free of melanoma. But nowhere can I find about publications. From other sources we know that Dr. Carl Figdor really has little to no success but always falls back on other research. Again he emphasizes in the following article the combination of dendritic cells with chemotherapy. I think it would make sense to agree with Dr. Gorter talk that is sometimes successful with his approach with dendritic cells and hyperthermia, see experience stories .

NIJMEGEN - Professor of Immunology Prof. Carl Figdor of the UMC St Radboud in Nijmegen, the KWO Prize 2009 received from KWF. Figdor gets the award for his research on dendritic cell vaccination, which the immune system of cancer patients can be "boosted" so that tumors with renewed force attacked. On the KWO award is an amount of two million euros.
Surgery, radiotherapy or chemotherapy are the usual weapons, which is fought cancer. A tumor with such funds cut, blasted or broken chemically poisoned. For an optimal result is often a combination of those means. Carl Figdor is a relatively new method, which he uses the body's own defense mechanism. Experimental studies show that 30-40 percent of the melanoma patients respond to these so-called dendritic cell vaccination. Carl Figdor, the KWO-price use for basic research to the effectiveness of this therapy further.
