Last week on World Cancer Day (Feb. 4. 2011) Casa Luna had invited Prof. Yvette van Kooyk (professor at the VU Amsterdam). It explains in simple way what is and what immunology dendritic cells. And especially how they function in cancer. I got sent this link and have enjoyed listening to Professor Kooyk. She explains in simple terms how dendritic cells function and especially in relation to cancer. Click here for the radio to listen. However it is very critical to vaccinations of young girls against cervical cancer and minimizing the drawbacks but who wants to know how dendritic cells work gets well explained.
