Added May 9, 2011: Please read the warning to Dr. Robert Gorter and the Medical Center Cologne. Dr. Robert Gorter has become discredited in Germany and Egypt and we distance ourselves from Dr. Robert Gorter. Click here or ask for detailed explanation of why we are reliable physician Dr. Robert Gorter no longer available.
May 24, 2011: Pauline let me know that it is still going strong with her. Nothing points to a recurrence of her breast cancer. So a very good result.
Pauline de Graaf
Survivor of metastatic relapse in total body non hormone sensitive breast cancer (grade IV)
Pauline says: There was two years ago when I found cancer. Before I had surgery, radiation and chemotherapy I have had. And at first it looked pretty good. But one month after I've had the last chemo, I was hospitalized because she thought at first that I had a pulmonary embolism, and then there is a scan and a PET scan, and when it appeared that I had spread everywhere. In my bones, lymph nodes and in my lungs. And well the future was very bleak, I had at most three months to live so ...
EVAN says: It's about time verschrikkeljik course. Then the whole thing is upside down and that you are unaware of it you were already in a preliminary stage, she's had surgery, radiotherapy been awhile liberty, a relatively short period but
Pauline says: one month
EVAN says: one month?
Pauline says: yes
EVAN says: And yes you will get the message spread further told that while you have the hope that it niert come back but after one month it's been back and then you see .......
Pauline says: yeah I knew that I knew beforehand, I had the most aggressive form and quickly sharing. So I did have the idea if it comes back then it might not be such a pretty picture. Well that was also because I had so .... I still see the oncologist who sat shaking his head and it would only be three months.

The prognosis of the Dutch oncologist was so very bad. Pauline still getting chemo proposed but they also know that there is little hope. And when a friend told them about her good experiences with Dr. Robert Gorter with hyperthermia and dendritic cell therapy, they do not have to think and make an appointment at the Medical Center Cologne.
Pauline says: Beautiful voind me afterwards when we ended up at Dr. Gorter, we really were sitting in sackcloth and ashes, and thought it was end of story, of course. We're going to try something of what we have heard that it's good but how do you classify your last month. Will you do that fool up and down Germany to drive or do you simply the best of it. What are you doing? And when I was at Dr. Gorter to his desk and said: Am I a hopeless case? And his response was basically like: Well nobody is a hopeless case, we'll just do everything.
And then there is for me a click of deal: if someone is in my future then we will also fight. We came right away, with a good feeling and then we decided, let's just do it.
EVAN says: When you come somewhere and people say you're also against future we still see it, we want to make go, will you also. And now look at each other and then go for it.
Pauline says: Dr. Gorter has never promised me that he can cure me. Absolutely not. But he said we will try to make your life as long as possible in a good way and in a good condition. And if you have a couple of months and someone may extend to six months then you're all so incredibly happy for you have nothing, you might get a little extra and we are gone before. Not knowing that it would turn out so well that actually just the opposite happened: from nothing to everything

Same day of the consultation launched by Pauline all the treatments in Cologne. They will both be a while also continuing with the chemo in the Netherlands.
Pauline says: You do not know what adventure you deposit so I still had chemotherapy until the end of March. But then it really so good, it just kept going well. Each scan that I had to do there was less to see. So I'm still in the beginning and had chemo treatments while here.
EVAN says: But there was a difference than I thought. You then have chemotherapy combined with other patients and that is the same group. But she stayed, and that was the reason I think that we here two times a week, and she was also administered substances, I thought she was physically strong. And when I saw the ladies around us that the chemotherapy also was inserted then I saw women who were much heavier than she. Thus the treatments are combined with the chemo that I think is quite an operation had.
Pauline says: I had a group of women, and some had the same type of cancer the same aggressiveness and we have already have various drop off .. Yes I found it very difficult, because yes we did this and it went better with me while I was the worst off of all. There are several women disappeared and I think still very difficult.

Right from the start of the treatments in Cologne in November 2007 is doing well with Pauline. She feels physically stronger, is soon no longer troubled by the chemo and the scans is clearly a decline in cancer. End of March 2008 will stop them even with the chemo.
Pauline says: In November / December I started here and the first scan I had was I think in January. And I noticed right away that I feel better. Yes, I really believe in positive thinking, I do very much and I just went for it. In January, they said already, well it looks at least better off. Then I thought oh oh ... and when I got back three months later, a scan every time a scan was made it was just less.

Pauline experiences with local hyperthermia treatments and injections of the dendritic cells as little strain. Only the whole-body was heavy.
Pauline says: I found this very hard. Local hyperthermia so there you are finished with this but I found it hard. But then I knew what I was doing it so I just did. It is certainly too but I can not do so well against heat. Yes and it's very hot natuurljik. They induce fever so .... and if your temperature goes up, I think you will think differently. Yes I found it hard, which I found difficult.
EVAN says: All the times I meegeweest. Fortunately the work gave me the space. Yes this is what you do together. This is quite heavy. She talks about it now quite easily but if you're in something is, it is terribly hot, yet claustrophobic heat overcomes you and then you still talk to her, calm her down. You're a bit busy too. Sure they have music, there is a drink, you have to cool down, but you're here, that's the most important. And not only have to do.
Pauline says it's very nice when you have good people around you that really saves considerable. I am very happy that he's always gone.
EVAN says: You also get something together. If you do it in pairs. While you have the Neit but you is so close that you do not know but you can hear the whole story and you're also important. And it's not that they do is important, but if you're not there you can see just how vulnerable people. And yes that is to do it.
Pauiline says: yes I am very happy. Thank you.

Even after stopping the chemo continues to go better and better with Pauline. In August 2008, a PET scan and then made that all cancer is gone .. Pauline also in the liver, lungs and bones is nothing to see. The oncologist can hardly believe it.
Pauline said: The concoloog them: I understand nothing of when in August I have been in a PET scan been my whole body, and he said I'm not sure what I need with you. We will yet again once in a PET scan where your body is cut into slices. Well of course it was very exciting because it is the first time the bad news came out. And when I got there and the results then it was well, there's nothing more to see and as I said we do not know how it happens, where it came from but it's very strange. And he is cautiously happy, I keep every three months a scan because it can not actually what happened here.

Now in March 2009, Pauline still clinical cancer and no signs of recurrence. Wouter and Pauline are even glad that they in November 2007 at the suggestion of their friend went to Cologne. Their oncologist still does not understand, but it does show understanding for their choice.
EVAN says: of course he understood what to do. He knew we were going, he had a particular opinion about who was not directly very negative because he said himself in the conversation that we talked about: the moment I am in your shoes would stand for any form cancer and therefore I would have given had I maybe gone. And the fact that he said it, because even if the people who know and who ought to know and powerless in your illness and then say to you: if I have the same form would have if you, the same disease, I had done.
Look it also gives you a feeling of we're on the right track.
Pauline says: I'm just not there anymore. He knows that I do. He finds it just fine. He has indeed told us, even if I would have been in the same situation as you, I might have done. Because you're so desperate. Of course you have almost no tools to deal more if you are just a few months and then you just choose where I go. There are so many things you could do here and we had just works, it feels good and therefore have therefore chosen. And he never said anything about it. I then did very well not to say, well yes you do see now where it comes. He just said it can not really in the 25 years he's oncologist he has never seen, he said. It can not really.
EVAN says: Someone with its forecast, with its stage, which they say you've got three months and that looks good looks and what it really only lasts better, but if you get chemo that you are often far less physical of this, because it breaks down almost as much in terms of good cells and bad cells. Of course he had from his perspective not otherwise say, that is, of course.
Pauline says: I had a new doctor and was very happy, a young man who was so happy and said you've made up my week. But who also said I should really send anyone. But I think it's a good story. And then I said: well then you'll just have my phone and since then several people have already called. What is your experience and just go talk and see what else is possible. Nothing ventured nothing gained, especially if you know it's just end story. Because there was simply no choice, there was no choice.
