HPNCC = hereditary form of colon cancer: Groningen researchers found two genes that appear to play roles in the development of HNPCC, a hereditary form of colon cancer

Of people with colorectal cancer have a hereditary form five percent because the form called HNPCC (Hereditary non-polypeuze colorectal cancer). Worldwide all four genes were mapped which, if they were mutated, would play a role in the development of cancer. Now, dated 12 October 2001, reports the University Hospital Groningen, two new genes that researchers have brought in pictures that also play a role in the development of HNPCC. This is also important because immunotherapy and gene therapy may be adjusted accordingly. Specified by the researchers would include off 8000 new patients per year with this form of cancer which half within a few years after the creation dies.
