We get asked very often a reliable doctor or Dr. Robert Gorter. I said earlier I replied always Yes but there always also: he is a somewhat separate type of doctor, he is rather eccentric but if you look through there then it's a reliable, committed and knowledgeable physician. But my experiences and especially the experiences of many patients with him are now downright negative lately. And at this moment I must answer that question so unfortunately no, Dr. Robert Gorter is no reliable doctor.
I will try to explain briefly why my opinion about the person Robert Gorter is changed from positive to negative. On the main treatments that are applied in the medical centre Cologne unchanged, I am positive. Dendritic cell therapy, because both, both local and total body hyperthermia, hyperthermia, injections with Newcastle Disease the mistletoe and intravenous solutions are including vitamin C and thymus, are also proving to be applied worldwide with good results and there is also much new research into these treatments done besides the already existing study results.
Also about the nurses and the other doctors working in the MCC I stay positive. However the first responsible for the treatments in the MCC, Director and owner Dr. Robert Gorter, is now so discredited by German judicial research, see later in this article, as I have also gotten in recent half year too many complaints of patients and I also have some less pleasant experiences themselves with him, that we want to give a warning from cancer-up-to-date with the necessary caution and scepticism to approach this doctor if you still in the MCC a treatment want.
I dissociate myself from the sickening way with half-truths and sometimes pure lie, which the Association against the Quackery and their sister organization is about Dr. Robert Gorter SKEPP exhausts and the treatments that take place in the MCC. The main reason for a negative verdict is that I increasingly hear of patients that get their Dr. Robert Gorter in the lurch. If it goes well with his patients then there is nothing to worry about and he wants to show off "his" result. But if a patient gets a lesser or outright bad scan result than let him know it quite frequently. He reacts not just on phone calls, not on sms pages, not on emails. Or say call back but does not. He has also run an appointment several times if patients were waiting in his clinic, specially for a consultation with him, but he leaves out Netherlands than simply going by refurbishing or miter and let the nurses or by his other doctors. He always says, I'm so busy and there is something in between. I have many times in recent years "brokered" between patients and to him but to make an appointment or a response to a scan result bv. If I then phoned or emailed was eventually made an appointment. Last 2 months he has had contact with three patients that I too fully let us know. In all three patients are eventually not enough treatments kicked in and there was disease progression. Now to the question of how he cannot and will not answer further than apparently more give. If this happens again, ok I understand (1), but it is still to do this too often happens as an incident. It seems structurally and conscious behaviour unworthy of a doctor also, in my opinion. Incidentally I get about regular working doctors and oncologists also often disconcerting to hear stories of scans to threats, aware misinterpretations abort the treatment if they go abroad. But their behavior does not detract from the fact that Dr. Robert Gorter is guilty of unacceptable behaviour towards his patients.
Dr. Robert Gorter promises too much, is often too optimistic
Who does get a consult with Dr. Robert Gorter a conversation of approx. 1.5 hours by default. A regular feature is his note: we will put together your 88th birthday celebration. I once asked why he actually against any patient says. And he says more or less than this comment as a joke to see, as a way to create an optimistic atmosphere, but also as a moment of hope. But if you as a patient of your doctor to hear that you've gotten for this incurable and often untreatable are mostly with a life expectancy of up to one year then can such a note wrong give hope.

Now, I do not believe that Robert Gorter ever literally will say we make you better, at least that I never hear back from patients, but with the refer to be cured patients and with a note if on the 88th birthday is still suggested that people really make much chance to get rid of their cancer. Unfortunately, the reality is that only a few will still come in a total remission, also because 95% of the patients who come to the MCC in a final stage, so not only Dr. Robert Gorter to reproach.
Now improves the quality of life very often in people but that would probably do it too if they would suit their lifestyle with a healthier lifestyle, and bv. intravenous solutions are the vitamin and hyperthermia would pick somewhere else. So that is not always the only merit of the specific approach in the MCC. Also I know many patients who do well on the wood smuller diet in addition to sometimes only regular palliative treatments or just do nothing more.
Dr. Robert Gorter screens with uncontrollable results
Invariably tells Dr. Robert Gorter to patients that he has such good results, in particular people with a brain tumor and in women with breast cancer. He refers to his post to say two prospective studies carried out. And last year I got a trial of a study report on the study with brain tumors that are very spectacular looked like. 44% of the patients that the treatments in the MCC had sustained three months or longer, (12 patients of the 44 kept the treatments three months full), 5 were still in a total remission. (Total remission means clinical cancer free). It is, however, that pilot report remained. Because in september 2010 I have spoken with the physician in training who has conducted the study on brain tumors and when she told me that they needed a few more weeks to finish the final study report and thus promoted. But despite repeated questions I received the final study report more never seen or published it somewhere. According to Dr. Robert Gorter had more interest in the arts in training her new love than to finish the study. This combined with other events is a lie and apparently left unspecified remains unchanged the study results are still not as good as suggested. I know bv. that of the 5 people who came there in total remission now 2 are still dies. Inoperabele brain tumors in particular would total 10% remission though a spectacular result.
Two years ago, on my initiative three doctors from a contact established between the AMC and Dr. Robert Gorter and the SNFK. There are some official talks and there was a plan to create a study on the effect of dendritic cell therapy plus hyperthermia for brain tumors. Financial guarantees were not there yet but it all looked promising, because the doctors from the AMC had an entrance at certain funds and also wanted to contribute to funding of such research SNFK. Dr. Robert Gorter only had to finish his study and a study postprospectieve make an official application to the description for ethical Commission and funds for financing. Several times he has promised us that everything would come out but we pulled out last year after Dr. Robert Gorter was not fulfilled his promises and appointments again. Why Dr. Robert Gorter fails these and other appointments, I don't know, because it would surely also in its interest if such a study is carried out, especially when he says to have such good results.
About the study on effect of treatments in the MCC with women with breast cancer is never presented a report to me, nor I know who this has performed. Though tells Dr. Robert Gorter to everyone who want to hear it but that he joined this group women for 17% total remissions. But this is so not to control.
Robert Gorter his treatments are rarely reimbursed and he uses different rates for patients
The treatments in the medical centre Cologne are rarely reimbursed. Although a few based on forbearance has gotten something compensated the last year rarely do I hear something that someone gets reimbursed. Dr. Robert Gorter suggests in his initial consultation often that people do get compensated. He often refers to people than me and cancer-news because we have to charge what documents to request Vogl for the treatments with Dr. who might also be used for treatments elsewhere. But I have already said several times that he him initially should provide for publications and for an official registration as a specialist in Netherlands. Now, he is still registered as graduate while he has had a lot more work experience and training and is also officially, at least to the data he specialist letting us see. Last year we established with some people a patientenvereniging and one of our first tasks was to ensure that he would make his entry in order in any case. He has also promised to do this, but until today, that is still not in order. We do not know why but he gets it just doesn't care for this for each other.
In addition, he has promised to us that patients could count on free legal aid from him if they would engage a process. He has given us two names. However the first lawyer we have never called and the second lawyer leaves nothing more of yourself hear. I find this also personally just can't blame him and take it that he presents to something that a sham patients.
In addition, what really bothers me is that we now know that he for patients from bv. America and Canada and from Arab countries, a much higher rate than for patients from Europe. I find this very unfortunate and feeds my distrust towards him, because anyone who deals with such a mindset with patients has not the right mindset for me as a doctor. A treatment has its price but not that if you come from America, 7,500 to 8,000 € € you--and if you're from,--must pay € 3.500,--€ Netherlands comes to 3,800,--for exactly the same treatment. I think this is really a form of scams.
Dr. Robert Gorter discredited in Germany and Egypt. The German Justice is doing research.
Contact the message a few weeks ago that the survivors brought Medical of an Egyptian patient Dr. Robert Gorter have indicted. (click on this deeplink for message). He would have faked and the patient statements doctors have put under pressure to pay extra money. The patient is unwell during a treatment to a hospital in Cologne, and transported several weeks later in Cairo dies. Now I know a bit about this matter, I have this patient and his attendant also known as met several times, but I do not know all the details about where the lawsuit is about. And I also know not who is true to the core of the guilty but complaints described in the message seem to be true. And in addition I have never had a response from Dr. Robert Gorter on the article that I had forwarded him. Now I find that someone is guilty until proven is that someone is guilty, but to someone who has worked for him he would 3.5 years still can give a response seems to me.
Who wants to know how another about Dr. Robert Gorter reads once this blog thinks of an ex-patient of him. As I also have tried the above my sincere opinion about Dr. Robert Gorter, without forgetting its good sides too. I've worked with a lot of fun for 3.5 years usually have also really almost miraculous results him and seen, but the last months I cannot muster more to work for him. He was bv. very angry at me when I asked him on the occasion of his book, why he no longer gives evidence that he himself has had cancer. And also he refused the texts to adapt videos on his website like I do on cancer-current.
On the website of the MCC were/are still videos presented as if the patients do very well or have come into a total remission while a few have in practice a relapse or deterioration of their situation. Through the technical administrator of his site I have ensured that at least some videos on the Dutch part are removed. But if you like with your patients and potential patients physician as deals in fact misled then you're in my eyes no good reliable doctor. On cancer-news are all patientenverhalen on video accompanied by texts that as far as we are aware the actual situation of the patients show though.
On the basis of the above, I can therefore say no yes more to the question of whether Dr. Robert Gorter is a reliable doctor. We let the information stand and the videos because his treatments in the MCC be given some US concerns not under discussion.
