Mr. HA. get control of his incurable bone cancer (Multiple Myeloma - Kahler) by Thalidomide addition a complementary approach of orthomolecular supplement and a strong will and support of his wife and family. Five years ago, Mr. HA declared incurably ill and now he drives car again and works in his garden.
April 13, 2005:The story of Mr. HA. who have been struggling with an incurable form of Multiple Myeloma - Kahler , but besides a treatment including thalidomide through their own efforts and Internet searches and basic knowledge of natural additional resources - orthomolecular supplements and with the help of good orthomolecular oriented acupuncturist and friendly and knowledgeable oncologist his illness under control seems to have. A good example of what a complementary approach and willpower can do for an otherwise incurable cancer. I am personally to Mr. and mrs. HA visited, have also seen medical reports, etc., but principally the responsibility for everything that is told of Mr. and Mrs. HA .. We wrote the story and published after approval by mrs. and Mr. HA. But everything remains our disclaimer strength and experience this story of Mr. HA seen as a welcome addition to what we have information about Multiple Myeloma - Kahler on our site.
Any questions and comments about the story of Mr. HA please e-mail to the editors and we will forward them to Mr. and Mrs. HA ..
Living with Morbus Kahler
About six weeks ago, in early February 2005, I received an email from Mr. HA. , In which he told me that on his own personal way of bone marrow cancer - also known as Multiple Myeloma and Kahler called - seems to have under control through a complementary approach, is both a regular and have a complementary approach to natural resources.
He offered me his experiences in our section stories of cancer patients to post.
Through the hustle and bustle of the site one month before it took a visit to Mr. and Mrs. HA. There actually was and another three weeks before this story was written by me. But it is well worth reading this story. A nice example of how someone with initiative, supported by his wife and family and a large dose of willpower basically an incurable form of cancer control is a better quality of life than could be expected!
Prior to our meeting:
Driving through a beautiful snowy landscape in March on their way to Mr. HA. so my thoughts went to Anthony. once I drove one morning in the autumn of 1994 to Jomanda Tiel to give Anthony a video camera. He was preceded one week told that he had an incurable form of cancer, Waldenstrom's , with a life expectancy of about six years, but with chemo. He wanted to tell his then young children through the video so later, they still would get a little picture of how he as a father and person.
Meanwhile, Anthony 12 years on and without any regular treatment whatsoever he still has control of his cancer. He still works, made and provides for his children, who had already become self-sufficient.
A year later, myself and the message get cancer I am still 8 years and even cancer.
Why think about that on our way to Mr. HA.? Well, Mr. HA. had me on the phone said he had sat in a wheelchair and had been terminal, but just a complementary approach with diet and specific supplementation again had become a lot better. I was therefore wonder who I would take and was frankly a little prepared for the worst.
Kahler and then the wheelchair, which meant in my mind not a situation best. But I thought: "How many personal stories to be published before the mainstream oncology has now really is committed to research on the value of a complementary approach to cancer?" Individually and there are many people in the Netherlands who are fighting for a better quality of life and longer survival after a diagnosis of cancer. Most will pay all additional resources eyed, sometimes travel abroad for treatment that is not offered in the Netherlands and almost all have to fight against all prejudice and skeptical physicians and oncologists and people from the immediate environment. And also again, often unthinkingly put down in the corner of visitors quack!
I know, these thoughts did not match the beautifullandscape and I really saw the beauty of it, but at the same time made me sad.
How do we break through the mistrust and skepticism of the policy men and women into mainstream oncology? How can we still bring them together complementary and conventional poet? It all seems so hopeless. . How different were my thoughts when I was driving back from my visit to Mr. and Mrs. HA.!
The story of Mr. HA.
A quiet residential area in a country town. When I ring the bell does a man open, which, although visible is difficult and somewhat crooked, but despite his physical shortcomings particularly clear and appears to be fairly fit! If I did not know, I would not say he has cancer. And Mrs. HA. radiates a peace and joy that are not appropriate for the partner of an incurable cancer. In short two men, aged 60 plus, which is positive in life and that radiate.
The story they tell me afterwards, shows that this is different has been the past few years.
In the summer of 1999 was Mr. HA. getting back pain. In autumn, the worse and he went to the doctor. Who advised rest and also to take more exercise, eg walking.
The back pain got worse. He was crippling pain shoots from his waist to his left ankle. The GP thought initially to a herniated disc or sciatica and sent Mr. HA. in February 2000 to Radiology for a scan. This scan showed that it was not a hernia, but there was a fixed scoliosis.
A scoliosis is a deformity of the spine and can be very severe in the form of a hump. HA. was surprised, because with no testing, even with the military, which was established! The scan was curiously blood tests.
A few weeks later Mr. HA. a massive hematoma in the lower back have. He also received spontaneous bleeding in his mouth and one day he became unconscious, even after visiting the toilet. Then the doctor decided to HA. a record for an overall total research Neurology in March 2000.
There was such an MRI and blood tests. It was found that the IgM was elevated and the blood contained more proteins with a value of up to 60! The MRI scan also showed that there were strange places in the vertebrae. The diagnosis turned out to be 'bone' called Kahler-Multiple Myeloma. Addressing Kahler:
There were Mr. and Mrs. HA. two treatment proposals. A hard aggressive approach and a milder approach. The hard would mean a stem cell or bone marrow transplantation with chemotherapy. The softer, the chemotherapy with a corticosteroid.
Both proposals were bijgezegd that there is not curative and were only prolonging.
A bit strange I think personally, as a stem cell or bone marrow transplant is the only way to definitively from bone marrow to cure cancer-Kahler. While it is a tough treatment, but milder approach leads to our knowledge never healed and is purely palliative and life expectancy of patients Kahler is average with the help of chemotherapy a year or five.
Mr. and Mrs. HA. chose the softer approach as HA. somewhat weakened, and the aggressive approach is the immune system shut down.
In Oncology, the chemotherapy intravenously put in motion. At intervals of 4 weeks were performed for 5 reps.
The fast medication could not prevent that there is a severe hematoma in the left pelvic area occurred. This bruise turned into a crippling edema of the left leg. HA. could no longer stand on his right leg by the residuals from his bruising in the back.
The chemo also meant that the vertebral body collapses and thinning. Within two weeks he was 15 cm shorter. Made the thoracic vertebrae thereby creating a strong bow 'bochel'ontstond.
With Kahler by the accumulation of defective white cells from the bone the calcium com-driven, causing osteoporosis. At HA. that damage was confined to his spine.
Kahler usually only affects the spine, sometimes also other marrow containing bone pieces involved. With the collapse of the vertebrae was HA. a zenuwinklemming between the vertebrae of the shoulder, causing him pain in the left arm was. For this he received morphine to relieve pain patches, which he unfortunately was slightly drugged.
Between the first chemotherapy was given a blood transfusion because the hemoglobin was very low and a lot of bloodhad been lost. Oncology was on no account of his large swollen left leg, about three times as thick.
Mr. and Mrs. called the help of their knowledge that a classical homeopath LM by their authors. Within one week, the edema disappeared. Oncology on they did not show that she was surprised. Mrs. HA. managed by an orthomolecular nutrition course lots of food and provided additional vitamins and minerals. Moreover, for the Houtsmuller Diet elected. HA took for breakfast. The wedding Budwigpapje. That was the habit at home for years and could continue.
Mr. and Mrs. attached great importance to many years of natural food and have their own organic vegetable garden.
From the hospital a few months he went to a nursing home. He could move with a wheelchair. Even when he got home, he could by his feeble left leg not walk. He seemed to be sentenced to the wheelchair and / or a walker. Thanks physiotherapy early 2001, he literally back on its feet. Even were it possible for him to drive carefully and gardening passion to resume.
HA. became ill, he had immersed himself in alternative health disciplines. The blood type diet had his attention. Initially trained agricultural, chemical, he became an analyst and researcher until his retirement at a research lab was. He also knows quite a lot about how specific nutrients and understands much of what is about the web today. Mr. and Mrs. decided to combine with the blood type diet Houtsmuller Diet, taking into account the acid-base balance.
For the right choice of voedigssupplementen he visits an acupuncturist electro. This is a homeopathic drainage also means the chemo waste disposed at the cellular level. Regularly makes HA. Using the infrared sauna to cleanse his body. He also benefits from aura and chakra treatments. The well-being is noticeably better.
Relapse:
In September 2002, however, the symptoms were back. He suffered from pain in right arm and rib cage. It took about three months before something was done. The oncologist opted for a 5 day course of melphalan and prednisone for paraprotein to reduce the severe and Hb increase. This approach was repeated every 6 weeks and the symptoms were initially wrong and blood proteins are less, but the Hb remained around 5 swing and his back and ribs were very painful coughing and sneezing.
To turn off his ribs to absorb was HA. wearing a military couple. Despite the low Hb he had enough energy and he was not shivering. Mr. and Mrs. believe that the blood type diet caused the available red blood cells were functioning optimally. The vision of 'd Dadamo, the developer of the blood type diet, is that the red blood cell stacks are not as they are not cemented. The oxygen transport in red cells is optimal.
The oncologist took into consideration a possible blood transfusion, but because HA. quite a lot of energy had, he waited still it.
Spring 2004 chose the internist for Thalidomide = Thalidomide, melphalan and cytostatics because unfortunately the formation of new red blood cell counters. Thalidomide is usually used when other agents are not the desired result.
This proved to be a good choice. Within a few months had HA. more power and torque of the army was off. The blood values improved and now almost 8 Hb. Thalidomide shows few side effects with him. Sometimes he is dizzy and he occasionally some constipation. His oncologist was still a bit surprised by this extraordinary result, because thalidomide often gives some effect but not as good now as Mr. HA .. However, it is not really aware of the extra nutrition and supplementation, because it told Mr. and Mrs. HA. so far, but not to him. Too bad, because that they remember the doctor also information that can be important for other patients who may also be prescribed Thalidomide can get.
On the way I felt a lot better than on the way and I have great admiration for the perseverance Mr. and Mrs. HA. Their experiences can help others again and hopefully many others draw inspiration from their story is not just to come to terms with the diagnosis of incurable cancer and the standard treatments.
There are more roads to Romelead!
