Breast cancer: 10-Q and vitamins B2 and B3 ((ribofalvin and niacin) significantly reduced CEA and CA 15-3 markers in addition to Tamoxifen and provides significantly lower risk of relapse. Article updated April 8, 2011
28 febrauri 2007: Source: Biol Pharm Bull. 2007 Feb; 30 (2) :367-70.When breast cancer patients that tamoxifen use additional Q-10, and Riacin Riboflavin (B2 and B3) use reduced their tumor markers CEA and CA 15-3 significantly and gives the researchers a longer disease-free interval to recurrence or prevents a more recideif. This was shown in a randomized study in four groups of 84 breast cancer patients.

In breast cancer patients, it is not the primary tumor, but ITS metastases at distant sites That are the main cause of death. Circulating breast cancer tumor markers Such As carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and carbohydrate antigen 15-3 (CA 15-3) are reli-able indicators of Impending relapse in Which an Increasing tumor marker level is associated with a very Recurrence Likelihood of Developing. In the present study, 84 breast cancer patients randomized to receive Were a daily supplement of 100 mg coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) 10 mg 50 mg of riboflavin and niacin (corn) one dosage per day along with 10 mg of tamoxifen (TAM) Twice a day . Serum CEA and CA 15-3 levels Were elevated in untreated breast cancer patients (group II) and Their Reduced tumor marker levels significantly upon tamoxifen therapy for more Than 1 year (group III). Group III patients supplemented with CORN for 45 d (group IV) and 90 d (group V) along with tamoxifen significantly Reduced CEA and CA 15-3 levels. This study suggests supplementation CORN tion to breast cancer patients alongwith Tamoxifen Reduces the serum tumor marker level and thereby reducing the risk of Cancer Recurrence and metastasis.
