dated October 31, 2003: Mischa, Guus his best friend, I received this letter about Guus his death, asking that the last update of Guus his story to post.

Dear friends,

Today at 15:05, our good friend Guus his last breath.
He has fought a battle that is unprecedented, and ultimately lost.

Last night he had a quiet night, but started at the beginning of the morning waiting in my moaning and puffing. This was probably the fever and the huge heart that he had been since yesterday. We then called and the doctor who came to him an injection to give a sort of sedative. This he is in a calmer sleep.

During the day he was getting colder and harder and I began to breathe. The result is that at 15:05 he surrounded by his mother, brother and sister and aunt, and his last breath I have blown out a sigh.

Without anyone too short to do, want you to know that today I lost my best friend and tell him that I will never forget. I ask you the same, keep him in your thoughts and stories. He's always so many things we do there was, that in the future just to be called in the various stories that are common.

I also want everyone from the bottom of my heart for the support I've had the past week. I really needed it, and use.

I can only add that I Guus past eighteen years as a wonderful human being I know. With incredible optimism and patience, he entered the battle with cancer. He did not make it unfortunately, but a half years playing his bold approach. Our sympathies go out to his mother, sister and brother and of course to all other family members and close friends like Mischa.

Guus day, nice knowing you and thanks for everything you've meant to me and us.

dated October 25, 2003:

Whitney's sister called me this morning to say that with Guus very badly. So bad that he probably will die this week. Two weeks ago, an MRI scan revealed that the residual tumor had grown slightly, but more worrying was that on the other side of their brains a new tumor was growing. Both developed tumors much edema that last Friday an epileptic seizure caused repeated. Guus is taking off his bed and has thereby injured his head so that Whitney could not talk and eat / drink. The neurologist wants and can do nothing more for Whitney and Robert had said there was nothing he could do. At the moment Guus home with lots of morphine is trying to hurt him and the family has also decided that Guus will stay home until the end. Whose address Guus wants a ticket can e-mail from us.

What a terribly sad end for how well it was not with him after last year. I have no words.
