Snacks
Notes are permitted and even good by Houtsmuller. Walnuts, amand eels, eg hazelnuts (nuts reason is that vitamin E and omega-3 fatty acids). No peanuts and corn.
Fruit is always good. Especially red fruits like strawberries, cherries, grapes, berries, etc. Especially recommended vegetables: citrus fruits, pineapple, grapefruit, kiwi, melon, papaya.
Whole wheat crackers with lean cheese, english marmalade, tahini, etc. (see tips for bread meal.)
Drink:
Fruits and juices are always good (see tips for bread meals)
On the day before at least five cups of green tea is recommended.
Buttermilk, Vifit, biogarde, but no milk (too much fat) Red wine. Up to two glasses per day is recommended by Houtsmuller and Valstar.
According to Ralph Moss (see internet links) in his monthly newsletter is the same as a glass of red wine:
One glass of red wine (with its powerful antioxidant resveratrol) is equal to:
- 12 glasses white wine (white wine)
- 2 cups of tea (black tea)
- Equivalent 4 apples (apples)
- 5 portions of onion (onion)
- 5.5 portions egg plant (aubergine)
- 3.5 glasses of blackcurrant juice (black currant)
- 3.5 (500 ml) glasses of beer (beer)
- 7 glasses of orange juice (orange juice)
- 20 glasses of apple juice (apple juice)
